In partnership with the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Oklahoma Route 66 Association is proud to be a publishing partner with Google Arts & Culture! In the fall of 2025, a new storytelling hub was launched from the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City with more than 130 stories that connect all 2,448 miles of Historic Route 66.

One of the most popular parts of this platform is Route 66 Rewind, an AI-powered virtual trip down Route 66 with visits to a few key landmarks that come alive with representations of the road’s 100 year history.
