2024 NPS Route 66 Cost-Share Grant Opens

The National Park Service announced today that their 2024 Route 66 Corridor Preservation Program Grant season is now open. This grant has been aiding a variety of Route 66 projects across all eight states for over two decades.

Eligible grant activities include preservation planning, National Register nominations, preservation and rehabilitation work on eligible historic sites, and/or research and educational outreach initiatives.  The application period is open until April 19, 2024.

Full details can be reviewed at: grants.gov/search-results-detail/352161 (Funding Opportunity No: P24AS00251).

Although the Corridor Preservation Program officially sunset a few years ago, the grant program has been renewed on a year-to-year basis.
