Luther Pecan Festival Returns for Ninth Year on November 7

The ninth annual Luther Pecan Festival will take place Saturday, November 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Luther. The free, one-day celebration in the Route 66 town in Eastern Oklahoma County highlights the new pecan harvest, local and regional makers, and the best of small-town Oklahoma life.

Festivalgoers can browse a diverse lineup of artisan booths featuring handmade jewelry, regional art, hand-poured candles, specialty seasonings, boutique apparel, custom knives, and woodcrafts—ideal for early holiday shopping. Literacy takes center stage with appearances by a mobile bookstore, Dolly's Imagination Library, and the Luther Library. Celebrating real craftsmanship over synthetic trends, the event highlights makers who utilize their hands, artistry, and entrepreneurial drive to build thriving businesses. Founded to celebrate local creators and deep agricultural roots, the festival welcomes visitors across the state to experience authentic small-town community spirit.

Kids and young-at-heart will enjoy pony rides, face painting, and specialty vendors featuring toys, trinkets, Hot Wheels collections, and young entrepreneurs. A cornhole tournament will benefit Luther Little League, while the Luther Band Boosters goodie booth will support the award-winning high school marching band. Roaming musicians, balloon artists, and costumed characters will add to the lively atmosphere throughout the day.

The festival welcomes Pilot Jim Gardner, who will tell weather stories and sell tornado merchandise. Nonprofit organizations including Pivot Preserves will sell their jam, while the Threatt Filling Station will represent Luther’s venerated Route 66 attraction. The Oklahoma Historical Society, selling maps and other state-history collectibles, and the Luther Historical Society will each have booths sharing local history and keepsakes.

Food truck favorites return, including Tater Coop and Rolling Reed’s Smash Burgers, alongside other festival mainstays. In addition to vendors sharing local honey and baked goods, the fresh pecan harvest remains the star of the event, with plenty of Couch Pecans, pecan pies, mini pies, pralines, and other pecan treats.

Special thanks go to the Oklahoma Propane Education and Safety Council for sponsoring the festival’s Feed A First Responder program, which honors the community’s emergency management volunteers. Additional sponsors making the festival possible include BancFirst Luther, Wildhorse Canyon Farms Winery, Tater Coop, Wilson Homes, Dump Depot, Triangle Silt Dike, Centranet, Central Rural Electric Cooperative, Colorful Expressions, CD Harris Designs, Bowen Heat and Air, and Capital Vacations.

The Luther Pecan Festival continues its tradition of bringing people together around local creativity, agriculture, and small-town life. Join us on Saturday, November 7, for our celebration in downtown Luther.
