Route 66 Centennial Traveling Exhibit Available for 2026

As people are preparing for ways to help celebrate Route 66’s first century, Assertion Films has put together a traveling history exhibit that talks about the famous highway.

The Route 66 Centennial Traveling Exhibit celebrates the rich legacy of the Mother Road and its unique role in shaping the cultural, economic, and social history of the United States, commemorating not only the 100th anniversary of the iconic highway but also the 250th anniversary of the United States. It features short films, panels, artifacts, events for youth & adults, oral history collection, lesson plans and more.

Joining this initiative as a strategic partner, the Real Travel app will collaborate with the Route 66 Centennial Traveling Exhibit to integrate innovative digital elements that enhance the visitor experience. “By leveraging technology and interactive tools, this partnership will provide new ways to explore and appreciate the culture, history, and heritage of the Mother Road,” said Katrina Parks, director. More information about the exhibit can been seen in their full slide deck here.

Please contact Katrina Parks, info@assertionfilms.com to learn more and to discuss hosting the exhibit in your community. Assertion Films is also responsible for The Untold Story of Women on the Mother Road documentary and educational curriculum which can be seen here.
