Crossroads of America: Oklahoma’s Route 66 Coming to OETA and Theaters
The Oklahoma Historical Society has announced that the new documentary Crossroads of America: Oklahoma’s Route 66 will premiere on OETA at 4:00 PM on August 29th. In the following months, the film will screen in several theaters with plans to add more before the end of the year.

Crossroads of America, a new feature-length documentary that celebrates the places and the history that shaped the Mother Road in Oklahoma, marks the Centennial of the famous highway by talking to people throughout the state that are involved with the road’s ongoing legacy. From legacy business owners to preservation advocates to state leaders, people highlight Oklahoma’s place into the road’s overall story.
In addition to the screening on Oklahoma public television, theatrical showings have been lined up for the Tee Pee Drive-In in Sapulpa and the Will Rogers Memorial Museum in Claremore.
